When tertiary students are making important life decisions of choosing their universities, courses or professor, they often have to rely on the information from the universities or media, which maybe outdated or even biased. Campiiy wants revolutionise the way that the tertiary students acquire information by crowdsourcing directly from the students for the students.
We begin by creating wireframes for the iOS and Android apps to visualise out quickly what our client wanted. The wireframes allow us to gather feedback fast and to change cheaply to come out with the design for development. Once we had the wireframes and product backlog completed, we started our development for the iOS, Android and Ruby on Rails backend concurrently using Agile methodology. The Scrum iterative releases supported by Continuous Integration of Agile allow our client to review features and provide feedback continuously, ensuring that the apps are delivered with the best business value and robustness.
We built an iOS and Android app using React Native powered by Ruby on Rails backend for Campiiy. The mobile apps allow the students to write review of the course and professor on the go, as well as find reviews from other students with great convenience. The mobile apps also allow students to attach images to the review, to provide more context to the review. Finally, we created an web admin console for the administrator of Campiiy, so that the administrator can manage reviews and perform data analysis.
